During preconstruction, we use our own database of construction information compiled from many years of projects to create highly accurate cost models. Self Performed Construction
As often as possible, Cal Pro Construction Inc. self-performs critical portions of its construction projects, including concrete work, excavation and grading, underground utilities and drainage systems. We have the skilled labor, specialized equipment and hands-on experience to get the job done right, right from the start.

Construction Management
Cal Pro Construction Inc. is selected as construction manager and general contractor early in the design phase. We work closely with your architect to examine alternate materials, systems, and equipment for cost, quality and availability. We then perform constructability reviews and offer value engineering suggestions. This early coordination fosters collaboration and focuses the entire team on finding the best solutions for your construction project. We also coordinate all subcontractor bids and determine a guaranteed maximum price for construction.

Design/Build Construction
Design-Build is another contracting method that is gaining
popularity, as it can provide significant cost and time savings for our
customers. Whereas the traditional Design-Bid-Build process separates design
and construction, Design-Build provides a single point of responsibility for
an entire project. Instead of the owner contracting separately with the
architect and the contractor, Design-Build typically ties the architect
contractually to the contractor. The contractor then enters into a
Design-Build contract with the owner. The owner now has to deal with one
entity, the Design-Build team, and not each one separately.
HOW IT WORKS.
Here’s how it works at Cal Pro Construction Inc. We select an
architect/engineer for a specific project and place them under contract as
part of our design-build team. We then work with the owner to plan, design
and construct the project to meet the specific goals, constraints and
demands of the project.
We used this approach for all of our design/build projects, turning
a challenging budget and schedule into an overwhelming success.
Construction and Program Management
Construction projects – regardless of size – involve numerous
details, and not every owner has the time or experience to manage the
process. Many choose to retain a firm to handle the planning, design and
construction phases of their projects.
This process is referred to as Construction Management; when it is
expanded to include multiple projects, it is called Program Management.
Cal Pro Construction Inc. provides superior Construction
Management and Program Management services to public and private owners
alike. We have experience managing single construction projects as well as
multiple project programs with multiple projects and phases on single campus
settings and several sites.
As Construction or Program Manager, we take responsibility for the
entire project. And because each project has different requirements and
different parameters, our services span all phases of construction:

Built to Suit Construction
One of the most complete services offered by Cal Pro Construction
Inc. is also one with the greatest added value to our Customers:
Build-to-Suit, also known as Lease-Leaseback.
Under this delivery method, we provide General Contracting and
Construction Management services plus we finance, own and lease the building
back to you.
Build-to-Suit construction often affords greater flexibility for
the owner in terms of their limited involvement in the design and
construction of the project and the absence of their being required to
provide the financing. They typically sign a long-term lease and may or may
not own the building at end of the lease term, depending on the way the
build-to-suit contract is structured.
This approach also offers owners the opportunity to:
- Develop a building that suits their very specific requirements
- Occupy a new building, designed and constructed to their specifications with no initial capital outlay.
Design-Bid-Build Construction
Design-Bid-Build, the oldest and most well known contracting method
for construction projects, is still popular with some owners. With
Design-Bid-Build, the contractor does not enter the process until after the
design is complete. The drawings are put out for competitive bid to general
contractors, and the one with the lowest price is typically awarded the
project.
When Cal Pro Construction Inc. contractors work in this manner, we
coordinate and manage all subcontractors from start to finish, and often
self-perform critical portions of work to provide greater value to our
